Each hunt is powered by local Sponsors. When the Golden Key is found, the winner receives prize money made possible through their contributions.
Along the way, bonus clues can be discovered at Clue Stop Sponsor locations and select open houses, giving participants the chance to explore new businesses, step inside homes, and experience their community in a whole new way.

The Golden Key Hunt was created by a lifelong resident of Warrenville, IL, with a love for the outdoors and a passion for creative community experiences. Whether hiking through local preserves or exploring hidden corners of the neighborhood with his adventurous pup, he’s always been inspired by discovery and connection.
The Hunt is an extension of that passion—designed to spark curiosity, support local businesses, and turn everyday places into something extraordinary.
